William David Wagers, age 79 of New Baden, IL, died Friday, March 28, 2025, at Highland Health Care Center in Highland, IL.

He was born on Tuesday, December 4, 1945, in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Isaac and Hazel (nee Eissners) Wagers.

William was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Washington High School in 1963 and college in Phoenix, AZ. His father was in active duty with the US Army, so William joined and served 2 years during Vietnam. He then worked for the US Postal Service until 1996, before retiring. William took care of his mother until 1999. He lived in Phoenix, AZ and in 2003 moved to Colorado Springs, CO and lived with his son who was in the US Airforce. In 2006, he moved to New Baden and has been there since. He enjoyed computer games, watching television and playing with his cats.

Father - Isaac Shelby Wagers (died 10/24/1989)
Mother - Hazel Marie Wagers (died 10/10/1999)

Brother - Stephen Wagers

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
