Tyler S. Basye

Tyler S. Basye, of Highland, Illinois, passed away on October 14, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on January 27, 1985, in Breese, Illinois.

Tyler enjoyed playing sports in his younger years and will be remembered as someone who loved being with his children and family. One of the great joys of his life was being a father, and he was especially proud of his six children.

He is survived by his parents, Brad (Laura) Basye and Cheryl Basye, his six children, Tyce, Jaxson, Jace, Emma, Brynleigh and Kingston; his brothers, Cory Basye and Ryan (Jessica) Basye, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Tyler’s family and those who knew him will hold close the memory of the love he had for his children and the time he shared with those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

May Tyler’s memory bring comfort to his family and friends in the days ahead.

In death, he also gave a final gift to others as an organ donor. In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to MTS (Mid-America Transplant) and will be received by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 1501 9th St., Highland, IL 62249, which is serving the family.
