Sonya D. Norris, age 63 of Herculaneum, MO, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Scenic Nursing & Rehab in Herculaneum, MO.

She was born on Wednesday, September 27, 1961, in Belleville, IL, the daughter of Donald and Bonnie (nee Stuby) Gunter.

She married Wesley Robinson on September 7, 2014, in Alton, IL.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Imperial, MO.

Sonya was born at Belleville, IL, and grew up in E. St. Louis and Highland. She graduated from Highland High School in 1979. Sonya lived at St. Louis and she graduated from SIU-E with a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree and was on the National Honor Society. Sonya worked at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and later at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland. She retired from Woodlands Nursing Home, Arnold, MO. She enjoyed swimming, vacations and bingo. Sonya loved sitting in the sun and was an avid Cardinals fan. She enjoyed shopping and wearing her jewelry.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Paul D. Lathum, officiating.

Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL.
