Sharlyn was born at Terra Haute, IN, grew up there and graduated from Concannon High School. She was married on her 18th birthday. She and her husband lived in Terra Haute until moving to Caseyville, IL in 1964, they moved to Marine, IL in 1969. Sharlyn moved to Highland, IL in 2000 and lived there ever since. She had many jobs including working at Jakel Manufacturing for a number of years. She was an amazing seamstress. Her collections of antique glass and hummingbirds were all over the home. Sharlyn loved being the mother to her four children.
