Rosella M. McCoig, age 86 of Alhambra, IL, died Monday, August 5, 2024, at Gillespie Health & Rehab Center in Gillespie, IL.

She was born on Sunday, October 3, 1937, in Licking, MO, the daughter of Sam and Anna (nee Miller) Crabtree.

She married SSgt. James Freeman McCoig, Sr., US Army, in 1964 at Carlinville, IL, who passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 1975.

Rosella was born in Licking, Missouri. She grew up in, southern Missouri and later in Murphysboro, southern Illinois. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, walking and dancing. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was always on the go.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL, with Rev. Mark Gause, First Baptist Church, Alhambra, officiating.

Interment will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Murdale Gardens of Memory in Murphysboro, IL, with Pastor Larry Worthen, officiating.
