Roberta L. "Bert" Ellington, nee McLeod, age 74 of Trenton, IL, passed away peacefully at 1:31am on January 16, 2024.  She was born January 11, 1950 in Belleville, a daughter of the late Robert and Mildred, nee Seibert, McLeod.

She is survived by her children Christopher J. Ellington of Trenton, IL and Jamie M. Wittenborn (husband, Brandon) of Murray, KY; special friend, Robert Weiss of Trenton, IL; 8 grandchildren, Kenny Ellington of Missouri, Brayden, Aubree, Landen, Hunter, Kenzee, Izabella, and Emmaleigh of Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, Bert was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard McLeod and Kenneth Kraske.

Bert was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton, IL.  She took pride in working in her yard, enjoyed antique shopping, and being home with her pets.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton, IL followed by a gravesite burial at Trenton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to Troy Animal Rescue, STL English Bulldog Rescue, or St Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
