Patricia Louise Zuelow (nee Glaub) of Breese entered into rest Sunday, October 4, 2026, at her residence after a brief illness. She was born on December 22, 1931, in Breese, the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (nee Schlueter) Glaub.
She met her future husband, Airman Lloyd L. Zuelow of Casselton, ND, while he was stationed at Scott AFB. They married in April of 1951 in Breese, and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1976, after 25 years of marriage.
Patricia and Lloyd had one daughter, also named Patricia Louise who passed away on June 13, 2016.
Following her husband’s death, Pat worked in the dietary department of St. Joseph’s hospital in Breese for 21 years.
Patricia is survived by her son-in-law, Glenn Dorries; grandchildren, Amy (Wayne) Kruse, Amanda (Kyle) Santel and Kari Dorries; great-grandchildren, Jordan (fiancée, Abigail Gross) Spangenberg, Manon and Lauren Kruse, Alyssa, Madelyn, Alayna, Lexy, Jayce, Koltyn and Josey Santel; sisters-in-law, Ruth Geske and Irene Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, husband and daughter, Patricia was preceded in death by her siblings, Agnes (Herman) Goewert, Florence (Dutch) Lesher, Mary (Frank) Theising, Elizabeth Maciariello, Wib (Frances) Glaub, Vince (Regina) Glaub, Richard Glaub, Tom Glaub, Charles (Leona) Glaub, Paul (Amelia) Glaub and Jim Glaub; parents-in-law, Armin and Minnie Zuelow; siblings-in-law, John Zuelow, Robert Geske and Marian (Peter) Karalis; and great-grandson, Eldyn Santel.
A grandma to all, Pat enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their friends. There was never an ask too big or a ride too far. She also enjoyed cheering on her grands and great-grands from the bleachers (usually at the top) at games or competitions of all sorts.
Pat was a true animal lover and never missed an opportunity to stop and pet a dog or other pet whenever she got the chance.
She also enjoyed playing cards or dice with family and friends and she took her games seriously. In recent years she loved spending time with her morning crew at Hardees after church or having lunch at the Trenton Senior Center.
Pat was always ready to go and rarely passed on the opportunity for an adventure.
