Patricia June "Patty" Gibbons, age 70 of New Douglas, IL, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL.

She was born on Sunday, March 6, 1955, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Clifford and Patricia (nee Fogerty) Miller.

On Saturday, August 18, 1973, she married John Thomas Gibbons in St. Charles, Missouri, who survives.

Patricia was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Ritenour High School in 1973. She married John right after school. Patricia enjoyed raising her children.

Patricia’s favorite things were her family. She had the biggest heart. She loved and cared for everyone deeply. Patricia loved dogs, she had gotten three from MEHS. She was a prankster and loved pulling jokes on everyone. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her, especially her family.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Dan Perry, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL.
