Mildred E. "Millie" Frey, age 88 of Highland, IL, entered into rest peacefully Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Breese Caring First Nursing Home in Breese, IL.

She was born on Wednesday, August 12, 1936, in Aviston, IL, the daughter of Frank and Agnes (nee Stoff) Luitjohan.

On Saturday, June 16, 1956, she married Allan A. Frey at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL, who passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011. They lived in Aviston until 1965 when they moved to Pierron. IL. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital for 3 years as a candy striper. Also worked at Koch Cleaners in Highland as a seamstress. Most of her life she was a homemaker and seamstress.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Sodality and a Bunco Club.

Her biggest accomplishments were being a devout Catholic, a loving wife to Allan, and a one of a kind mother to her 6 kids. She taught them to enjoy every moment life had to offer and to always trust in the good Lord's plan. She later shared these same beliefs with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Millie was a Breast Cancer survivor, who enjoyed sewing for others and quilting, playing cards, baking for loved ones, and spending time with her beloved sisters. Above all she really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pierron, IL, with Rev. Fr. Paul J. Bonk, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Pierron, IL.
