Margaret "Peggy" Loomis, age 65, of St. Rose, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 15, 1959, in Breese, a daughter of Betty, nee Aarns, Liening of Breese and the late John Liening.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Shirley, nee Jackson, Loomis.

Besides her mother, Peggy is survived by her husband Michael Loomis, of St. Rose, whom she married September 6, 1998, in Highland; a son, Jason (Julie) Kreke of Cedar Hill, MO; eleven grandchildren, Bella, Leo, Silas, Elsie, Samuel, Jeremiah, James, Lydia, Benjamin, Everett, and Lewis Kreke; siblings, Deb (Dean) Meentemeyer of Carlyle, Rick (fiancée Karen Rolfingsmeier) Liening of Breese, and Brian Liening of Carlyle; father-in-law, Robert Loomis of Highland; sister-in-law, Robin Loomis of Highland; and nieces and nephews, Rae Liening, Andra (Cory) Goestenkors, Mariah Ritchie, Lauren Liening, Alex Liening, Rachel (Anthony) Finley, Riva (Justin) Weiss, and Ronnie (Nicole) Price.

Peggy dedicated her career to Fresenius Medical Care. She found joy in crocheting, gardening, tending to her yard and flowers, and riding motorcycles with her husband, Mike. Above all, her greatest passion was spending time with her eleven grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

A celebration of Peggy's life will be Saturday, December 28, 2024, at St. Mary's Parish Center in Carlyle after 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family (checks payable to Michael Loomis) and will be received at the celebration of life or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5 ^th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
