Loretta E. Trame, age 101, of Breese and formerly of Beckemeyer, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026, at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese.

She was born November 13, 1924, in Albers, a daughter of the late William and Clara (nee Beckmann) Korte. On October 22, 1946, she married Edwin A. Trame at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers. Together they shared nearly 72 years of marriage before Edwin preceded her in death on September 27, 2018.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Loretta was preceded in death by a son, Lester Trame; a son-in-law, Stan Kampwerth; grandsons, Edward Kampwerth, Brent Trame, and David Trame; siblings, Adele (Raymond) Jansen, Alfred (Lucy) Korte, Wilbert (Valeria) Korte, Dorothy (Wilbert) Timmermann, and Louis Korte; her parents-in-law, Edward and Margaret (nee Budde) Trame; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alphonse (Viola) Trame, Agnes (Joseph) Huelsmann, Henry (Lucille) Trame, Helen (Clarence) Horstmann, and Leona (Edward) Wiegmann.

Loretta is lovingly remembered by her children, Donna Kampwerth of Breese, Eldon (Anne Stewart) Trame of Belleville, Michael (Dolores) Trame of Highland, Barb (Dave "Rip") Glaub of Breese, and Steve (Angie) Trame of Champaign; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, with another soon to arrive; one great-great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Arlene Korte of Damiansville; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Loretta devoted her life to caring for her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, faith, and tradition. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Beckemeyer and the Altar Sodality, where she found joy in serving her parish community. Loretta cherished time spent around the card table playing pinochle and euchre, enjoyed quilting beautiful keepsakes for those she loved, and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan. Above all else, her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her family. Whether celebrating holidays, sharing stories, or simply enjoying everyday moments together, Loretta treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and the generations that followed.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Beckemeyer with Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding and Deacon Jay Fowler assisting.  Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Beckemeyer.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Beckemeyer.

In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to the St. Anthony Cemetery Fund or Mater Dei Catholic High School and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
