Kenneth D. Korsmeyer, age 54 of Highland, IL, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at his sister's house in Alhambra, IL.

He was born on Saturday, April 11, 1970, in Highland, IL, the son of Delmar and Marlene (nee Mayer) Korsmeyer.

On Saturday, September 6, 1997, he married Janice Elizabeth Ostertag who survives.

He was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church. He was also a member of New Switzerland Model R.R. Club, Highland, IL and Madison County Farm Bureau. He was featured with his Oliver tractor collection in the Oliver Heritage Magazine.

Kenneth was born in Highland, IL and grew up in rural Alhambra area on the family farm. He graduated from Highland High School in 1988. Then he graduated from SIU-E for Electrical Engineer and continued with a Master Degree at SIU-E. After he married, they moved to rural Highland, IL. He enjoyed his many Oliver tractors and would drive his Oliver's in the homecoming parades. He enjoyed country line dancing and his favorite line dance was "Apple Jacks" which was his signature move along with the Cha-cha. He did farm tours at the family farm. He was a farmer all his life. He did some carpenter work early on with his father. He enjoyed building train layouts and customizing trains for his club. He loved family time and vacations. Olivers were his pride and joy as he loved sharing his passion with family and friends and showed them off in parades and shows. Ken enjoyed playing piano, writing poems, and telling jokes.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL and from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, IL., with Father Paul J. Bonk, Pastor, pastor, Grantfork, IL officiating.

Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Alhambra, IL.
