Janet Marie Heidemann, age 79, of Chesterfield, MO, formerly of Germantown, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, MO. She was born on May 10, 1947, a daughter of Alvin and Frances (nee Kleffner) Wuebbels.

She is survived by her loving husband Richard “Rich” Heidemann, Sr. in Chesterfield, MO. She was married on September 4, 1971, at St. Boniface Church in Germantown, and recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Janet is also survived by her children, Rich (Nance) Heidemann of Overland Park, KS, and Jason (Erin) Heidemann of Oak Lawn, IL; grandchildren, Emily, Katie, Allie, Will, Jack, Michael, Lily and Leigha; siblings, Mary (Jim) McCarthy of Lake St. Louis, MO, Stan Wuebbels of Rogers, AR, Brenda Kessel of Dardenne Prairie, MO, and Gerry (Special Friend, Paula) Wuebbels of Germantown; in-laws, Marian Wuebbels of Germantown and Dr. Ted Stein of Clayton, MO.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alvin Wuebbels, Jr.; brother-in-law, George Kessel; sister-in-law, Jeanette Stein and parents-in-laws, Edward and Ann (nee Hoff) Heidemann.

Janet was a 1965 graduate of Mater Dei High School. Janet enjoyed a successful career as a dedicated sales representative for Rothenberg and Schloss after she stayed home to raise her sons. Outside of work, she was a woman of many passions and talents. Her creative spirit showed in the handmade greeting cards and gift tags she crafted with such care, which became treasured keepsakes for everyone who received them. Her kitchen was always warm and fragrant with her latest baking, which she made for the people she loved. She was an avid reader, often happily lost in a good book, and she held a special place in her heart for her unforgettable trips to the islands of Hawaii.

Above all, Janet's greatest joy was her family. She was her grandchildren's biggest fan and never missed a chance to be part of their lives. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines at their games, watching them shine on stage at dance competitions, or listening proudly at their choir concerts, her happiest moments were spent celebrating them. Her love, warmth, and creativity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
