Jane Esther (Schuette) Blotevogel, 81, passed away on April 1, 2026, at home in Columbia, MO surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 29, 1944, in Alhambra, IL to the late Herman L. & Esther A. (Grosenheider) Schuette. She married Richard Blotevogel on November 20, 1965, and they later divorced. She took pride in being a wonderful homemaker & mother, while also working as a Realtor & Appraiser. She later completed an associate degree in the 90’s which led to her employment at American Water Works in Alton, IL from which she later retired. She loved gardening, preparing delicious meals, celebrating milestones with her family and was known for always being a supportive listener, problem solver, and eager to jump in on any task or challenge she faced.
Survivors include her daughter - Lisa (Chris) Sivret of Columbia, MO, and son Bob (Brenda) Blotevogel of Rosewood Heights, IL; one “dear to her heart” grandchild - Kaitlyn Sivret; two sisters - Gay Anschutz, Joy (Jim) Furey; numerous nieces, nephews & extended family also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son - David Blotevogel; three brothers - David Schuette, Daniel Schuette & Joseph Schuette.
Visitation to be held on Thursday April 9th, 2026, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL from 12:30pm- 1:30pm and Graveside Service and Interment to follow at New Spangle Cemetery, Livingston, IL at 2:00pm.
