H. Richard Lohman, age 70 of Marine, IL, died Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his home, Marine, IL.

He was born on Thursday, April 22, 1954, in Red Bud, IL, the son of August and Norma (nee Cole) Lohman.

On Saturday, July 21, 1973, he married Connie Marie Lohman, nee McDowell, at Second Baptist Church, Granite City, IL, who passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019.

Mr. Lohman was born at Red Bud, IL, he was raised in Madison, IL and graduated from Madison High School. He worked at True Manufacturing in Overland, MO for over 42 yeas. For the last 35 years he has lived in the Alhambra-Marine, IL area. He was an avid wood-worker. Richard liked to do landscaping and lawn decorating with his wife. Their Halloween decorations were unbelievable. He enjoyed spending time at his Koi pond and maintaining it. He enjoyed spending time with his fiancée' family; loved listening to music and time with his grandchildren. Decorating for the holidays and spending time outside were important times in his life.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Marine Firefighter's Hall in Marine, IL.
