Dolores M. Benhoff, age 87, of Breese, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese.  She was born January 17, 1938, in Breese, a daughter of the late Lavern and Veronica, nee Dust-Biesk, Johnson.  She married William A. "Hector" Benhoff November 19, 1977, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2014.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Carl) Thole and their daughter Kimberly (Randy) Vandever all of Breese; son, Michael (Vicki) Schulte and their daughters Becki (Ron) Foster and Kelli Schulte all of Breese; sister, Noreen (John) Doherty of St. Paul, MN; and four nieces.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Casper and Nellie, nee Lincoln, Benhoff.

Dolores was a dedicated employee of Arrow Group Industries in Breese, where she retired after 31 years of service. A faithful member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Altar Sodality, she also held lifetime memberships in the American Legion Unit 252-Breese and the VFW Auxiliary-Carlyle.

In her free time, Dolores enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, and solving puzzles. She had a special place in her heart for her beloved fur babies, Missy and Harley, who brought her endless joy.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding.  Interment will be at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese and again on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese .

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5 ^th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
