Dennis M. McClanahan, age 71 of Highland, IL, died Thursday, November 7, 2024, at HSHS Saint Elizabeth Hospital in O Fallon, IL.

He was born on Thursday, October 22, 1953, in Collinsville, IL, the son of John and Margaret (nee Crader) McClanahan.

On Saturday, May 28, 1983, he married Susan Rochell McClanahan, who survives.

Dennis was born in the Metro East and a graduate of Collinsville High School and attended SIU-E in the early 1970's. He worked in St. Louis at the Brown Shoe Corporation in the mid-1990's. Dennis worked at B-Line System (now called EATON) and retired in 2019. He enjoyed playing with his dogs and doing maintenance around the house. He was a 'homebody' most of the time.

Son - Bryan M. McClanahan, Highland, IL.

He was preceded in death by:
Father - John Staples McClanahan - Died 4/28/2006
Mother - Margaret I (nee Crader) McClanahan - Died 4/13/2019.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
