Deborah A. "Deb" Reckmann, age 64, of Highland, formerly of Edwardsville, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Deb was born on November 5, 1961, a daughter of Frank L. and Janet L. (nee Smith) Lamb.

On June 12, 1982, she married Kevin Reckmann, who preceded her in death on March 5, 2010.

Deb is survived by her children, Julie (Josh) Kleiboeker of Highland, Nicole Crabtree of Highland and Laura (Zach) Barrett of Troy; grandchildren, Paige, Gavin & Piper Kleiboeker, Lydia & William Crabtree and Bryce, Brinley & Blake Barrett; siblings, Ed (Connie) Lamb of Franklin, TN and Bill Lamb of Milwaukee, WI; father-in-law, Lorman Reckmann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lonnie (Jeanne) Reckmann of Alhambra, Larry McGee of Worden, Dean (Debra) Reckmann of Alhambra, Karen (William) French of Alhambra, Steve (Patti) Reckmann of Hamel and Matthew (Companion-Michelle Kreger) Reckmann of Alhambra.

She was preceded in death by her husband; father; brother-in-law, Danny Reckmann; mother-in-law, Karol (nee Koenig) Reckmann and sister-in-law, Lorna McGee.

Deb was a graduate of Edwardsville High School with the Class of 1979. She went on to build a dedicated career as an Administrative Assistant for Richard Jacob Insurance, where her sharp organizational skills and welcoming personality made her a cherished coworker and a trusted face to clients for many years until her retirement in 2006.

While she took great pride in her work, Deb's true masterpiece was her family. Her greatest joy in life came from her role as a grandmother. She adored watching her grandchildren grow and made an unwavering promise to never miss a single one of their milestones, games, recitals, or school events. Deb enjoyed cross-stitching and sewing. She was passionate about animals. She loved and spoiled her granddogs just as much as her grandkids. Above all, she loved being surrounded by her family and treasured every moment spent laughing, sharing stories, and making memories with her dear friends. Her legacy of devotion, love, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Moss Funeral Home in Highland. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Wood presiding. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Alhambra.

In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to wishes to the family (payable to Julie Kleiboeker) and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 1501 9th St., Highland, IL 62249, which is serving the family.
