Dale R. Henderson, age 87 of Staunton, IL, died Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Glenwood Senior Living in Staunton, IL.

He was born on Tuesday, April 20, 1937, in Wanda, IL, the son of Weldon and Olga Julia (nee Krueger) Henderson.

On Monday, June 6, 1959, he married Oma Margaret Henderson, nee Simmons, in Poag, IL, who survives.

He was a member of the Livingston Lions Club and Williamson Volunteer Fire Department.

Dale was born in Wanda, IL and grew up in the Wanda and Poag area until age 7, when his family moved to Grantfork, IL. Later he lived in Fosterburg and Edwardsvillle, until 1967 when he moved to Staunton, IL, and lived there for 57 years. He worked for Shell Oil Refinery, Wood River, IL, and retired in 1993. He helped the Kusterman's and Don Sievers on their farms. He enjoyed collecting fishing equipment, with over 100 rods and reels.

Interment will be at Grantfork United Church of Christ Cemetery.
