Charles J. "Chuck" Litteken, age 61, of Trenton, passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon. He was born May 22, 1965, in Breese, a son of the late David and Viola "Olie" (nee Fuehne) Litteken.

Chuck is survived by his daughter, Abby (Brady Kuhl) Litteken of New Baden; former wife, Tina (nee Haar) Litteken of New Baden; siblings, Donna (Raymond) Moore of Trenton, Gary (Mary) Litteken of Trenton, Dale (Ellen) Litteken of Trenton, Sandy Hilmes of Breese, Brenda (Gene) Wobbe of Trenton, Scott (Michelle) Litteken of Trenton, and Kurt (Tina) Litteken of Trenton; sister-in-law, Laurie Litteken of Summerfield; and nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry Litteken; brother-in-law, Kenny Hilmes; and niece, Dana Litteken.

Chuck dedicated many years as a union carpenter with Local 662 in Freeburg. He enjoyed the simple things in life and was most at home outdoors. Whether he was farming, tending a garden, hunting, or butchering, Chuck took pride in staying busy and working with his hands. He was also formerly a member of the Summerfield Lions Club and the Trenton Sportsman's Club. In his downtime, Chuck enjoyed relaxing with a cold Busch Beer and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral Services will be Monday, June 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Deacon Tom Ritzheimer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Trenton.

Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made for his daughter Abby's college fund (checks payable to Abby Litteken) and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
