Charlene Eversgerd, age 88, of Germantown, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025, at her home. She was born April 1, 1937, in Middlebrook, AR, the daughter of the late Charlie and Lora, nee Johston, Lindsey.  Charlene married Dan "Butter" Eversgerd on October 16, 2000, in Carlyle and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2019.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Adams.

Charlene is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Whitwell of Caseyville and Johnny Whitwell of Maryville; 6 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Clarence Lindsey, Nelson Lindsey, and Loran (Debbie) Lindsey; and in-laws, John "Jack" Eversgerd, Shirley Eversgerd, and Jan Eversgerd.

Charlene retired from Becker Egg Co. in Germantown.

According to her wishes, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the donor's choice and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N 5 ^th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
