Betty Lou Deien, age 63, of Highland and formerly of Breese, born February 14, 1954 in Breese, a daughter of the late Verena, nee Huene, and Vincent Deien, Sr., died Monday, June 12, 2017 at St. Louis University Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Vincent Deien, Jr. and wife Fran, Donald Deien, Larry Deien, and Margaret Ripperda and husband John; nephews, Michael Daiber and Kevin Ripperda; a great-nephew, Melvin Ripperda; and a great-niece, Danielle Ripperda.

Surviving are her siblings, Jackie (Roger) Shurtz of Breese, Bruce (Sandy) Deien of Highland, Nancy Deien of Breese, and Jerry Deien of Mt. Olive; a sister-in-law, Jean Deien of New Baden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Deacon Linus Klostermann presiding.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice and will be received at the funeral home.
