August J. Rose, age 61, of Huey, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024. He was born May 13, 1963, in Chicago, a son of the late Anthony L. and Angeline T. (nee Bishop) Rose.

In addition to his parents, August was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Rose; aunt, Mary Ann Rose; and cousin, Jo-Marie Rose.

August is survived by his children, Thomas (Leah) Rose of Florida, Ronald (Casey) Rose of Ohio, and April Rose of Woodlawn, IL; grandchildren, Elise, Harrison, Archer, and Hugh Rose and Leonardo and Theodore Rose; uncle, Joseph Bishop of Chicago; and cousins, Martin Rose, Catherine Rose, and Robert Rose.

A graduate of Southern Illinois University of Carbondale, August dedicated much of his life to his passions and his family. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Carlyle, and he found joy in restoring cars, listening to music, traveling, and spending time on the beach. August was a loyal fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears, cheering his teams on through every season.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
