Robert W. Wehlage, 84, of St. Louis, died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Breese Nursing Home. 

Mr. Wehlage was born May 20, 1926 in Breese to Henry and Anna (Holtmann) Wehlage; they preceded him in death. 

Also preceded in death by sisters, Theresa Weh, Bernice Holden, Elizabeth “Betty” Schulte, Mary Benhoff, and Anna Scheveling and brothers, Alphonse, Bernard, Clarence, Alvis, and Vincent Wehlage. 

Surviving are his children, Ronald Wehlage of Red Bud, Debby (Dennis Hirsh) Reedy of High Ridge, MO, and Tina Sweet of St. Charles, MO. He was also the proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren. 

Robert retired as a carpenter and was a 60 year member of the Carpenter’s Union Local #73 in St. Louis.  He also worked as a guard for Gateway Indoor Sports in St. Louis and Fountain Lake Sports Complex in Bellefontaine, MO.  He enjoyed traveling and playing Wii. 

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Grace Church, 2695 Creve Coeur Mill Rd, Maryland Heights, MO.
