Loretta O. “Etta” Vaughan, nee Beckemeyer, 89 of Trenton, died Monday, August 15, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. 

Mrs. Vaughan was born October 13, 1921 in Beckemeyer to Gustav and Mary (Spitz) Beckemeyer; they preceded her in death. 

She married Alvah “Elmo” Vaughan on October 9, 1946 in St. Charles, MO; he preceded her in death on October 27, 1993. 

Also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Beckemeyer and brothers, Paul, Harold, Marcel, and Cletus Beckemeyer. 

Surviving are her children, Jim Vaughan and Robert (Debra) Vaughan all of Trenton, and Kathy (David) Vaughan-Durham of Somerset, KY; 5 grandchildren, William, David, and Thomas Vaughan, Becky Durham, and Matthew (Leighanne) Durham; and a great-granddaughter, Jolene Durham. 

Etta was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Church in Trenton. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Joseph Rascher officiating.  Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 8:00-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. 

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
