Breese Nursing Home
Mr.
Rolfingsmeier was born December 4, 1919 in Breese to Henry and
Helena (Weber) Rolfingsmeier; they preceded him in death.
He married
Margaret Ratermann on February 10, 1942 at St. Francis Church in
Aviston; she preceded him in death on May 22, 2007.
Also preceded
in death by a daughter-in-law, Pat Rolfingsmeier; brothers,
Marcellus “Bud”, Jerry, Aloys, and Stanley Rolfingsmeier; sisters,
Rosalie Butin, Millie Hilbus, Martha Mete, and Myrtle Mehochko; and
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marcella Rolfingsmeier, Edward
Mehochko, Cecil Butin, Frank Hilbus, Rich Mete, Hubert Ratermann,
Ann Lampe, Joe Lampe, Lawrence Ripperda, Hilda Ripperda, Virgil
Ratermann, Herman Ratermann, Bill Ratermann, Minnie Ratermann-Wintermann,
Romana Rolfingsmeier and Rita Ratermann.
Surviving are
his sons, Dennis (Joni) Rolfingsmeier of Breese, Chuck (Barb)
Rolfingsmeier of Carlyle, Paul Rolfingsmeier of Breese, and Dave
(Cindy) Rolfingsmeier of Frogtown;
10 grandchildren, Lisa (Tom) Schulte,
Wayne Rolfingsmeier, Derrick (fiancée Melissa Bowman) Rolfingsmeier,
Tiffany (Gregg) Suydam, Sara (Nathan) Henss, Matt (Sarah)
Rolfingsmeier, Jeff (fiancée Julie Thole) Rolfingsmeier, Jill
(Brian) Sundberg, Kelly (Roberto) Macias, Britni (Zach) Hogg; 13
Great-Grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Betty Rolfingsmeier of
Worden, Dee Ratermann and Frances Ratermann both of Highland.
Ray retired as a
salesman and foreman from the Breese Grain Co. and was a member of
St. Augustine Church and the Breese American Legion Post 252 where
he was a former member of the Drill Team.
Funeral Mass of
Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2 PM at St.
Augustine Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob
Lippert officiating. Interment will follow in St. Dominic-St.
Augustine Cemetery, Breese.
Visitation will be
Monday, March 7, 2011 from 5:00-9:00 PM and again on Tuesday, March
8, 2011 from 11:00AM-1:45 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials can be
made to St. Augustine Church or to the American Diabetes Association
and will be received at the funeral home. |
