Margie A. Rohling, nee Korte, 89 of
Trenton, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Aviston Countryside
Manor.
Mrs. Rohling was born October 16,
1921 in Pierron to Anton and Minnie (Goestenkors) Korte; they
preceded her in death.
She married Paul Rohling on August
19, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church in Pierron; he preceded her
in death on October 22, 1995.
Also preceded in death by a son,
Kenneth Rohling; a daughter, Geralyn Rehkemper; a granddaughter,
Erica Anne Schmidt; brothers, Vincent and Ray Korte; a
sister-in-law, Marie Vaninger; and brothers-in-law, Ed Huelsmann,
Harvey Jakel, John Foederer, Lester Pender, Noe Rohling, Cyril
Rohling, and Paul Vaninger.
Surviving are her children, Joyce
(Don) Schmidt of Jacksonville and Keith (Wendy) Rohling of Trenton;
a son-in-law, Jerry (Paula) Rehkemper of Highland; 7 Grandchildren,
Kristi and Nikolaus Schmidt, Kelly (Gary) Cooper, Kevin Rohling,
Gavin, Kelsey, and Clayton Rehkemper; a great-granddaughter, Lily
Cooper; sisters, Marie Huelsmann of St. Louis, Lorraine Jakel of
Highland, Ann (Ed) Plocher of Pierron, Millie Pender of Highland,
Barb (Dennis) Zobrist of Highland; brothers, George (JoAnn) Korte,
Dave (Ruth) Korte, Ralph (Donna) Korte, Larry (Ethel) Korte, Bob (Edy)
Korte, and Dan (Bunny) Korte all of Highland; and sisters-in-law,
Betty Rohling of Trenton, Linette Korte of Highland, and Eileen
Korte of Highland.
Margie and her husband Paul owned and
operated Rohling’s Market in Trenton and she was a member of St.
Mary Church and Altar Sodality and Trenton Senior Citizens.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial
will be Friday, December 31, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic
Church in Trenton with Fr. Pat Jakel and Fr. Gene Kreher
officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary
Cemetery, Trenton.
Visitation will be Thursday,
December 30, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday, December
31, 2010 from 8:00-9:45 AM at
the Moss Funeral Home in
Trenton.
There will be a prayer service at
7:30 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the
Highland Area Community Foundation-Geralyn Rehkemper Fund and will
be received at the funeral home. |
