Vincent H. Kuhl, 84, of Breese, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. 

He was born September 19, 1926 in Albers to John and Helena (Schulte) Kuhl: they preceded him in death. 

Also preceded in death by a daughter Marie Kuhl, a granddaughter Jessica Hope Kuhl, a son-in-law Brad Deien, a brother Walter Kuhl, sisters and brothers-in-law; Jane Kuhl, Joseph Wuebbels, John Musenbrock, Ben Musenbrock, Louis Ripperda, Lawrence and Hilda Ripperda, Larry and Delores Ripperda, Alfred Ripperda, Thelma Ripperda, Mary Ann Ripperda 

He married Bernice Ripperda April 14, 1953 at St. Dominic Church in Breese and she survives in Breese. 

Also surviving are his children Sandra (friend Don Timmermann) Deien of Breese, Brenda (Mark) Renschen of Breese, Randy (Cindy) Kuhl of Carlyle, Wanda (Tom) Albers of Germantown, Bonnie (Butch) Wilke of St. Rose, Stanley (Brenda) Kuhl of St. Rose, Scott (Janice) Kuhl of Carlyle 

18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren 

A brother Leon (Mary) Kuhl of Nashville 

Sisters Clara Wuebbels of Damiansville, Emma Musenbrock of Albers, Dorothy Musenbrock of Albers 

Brothers-in-law Paul Ripperda of Fairview Heights, Art Ripperda of Sorrento. 

Sisters-in-law Rita Ripperda of Carlyle, Mary Ripperda of Breese. 

Vincent retired from Scott Air Force Base in 1984 as  laundry supervisor, retired farmer and bid runner with Poettker Construction in Breese. He was an army veteran of WWII 

Member of St. Dominic Catholic Catholic church in Breese, American Legion Post 252 in Breese and Clinton County Farm Bureau. 

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Monday May 16, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Dominic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating. Interment St. Dominic – St. Augustine Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday May 15 from 4 to 8 PM and Monday May 16 from 8 to 9:45 am at Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Breese American Legion will hold services Sunday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
