Viola Ann Kennett, nee Kohrs, 85 of
Trenton, and formerly of Albers, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at
St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.
Mrs. Kennett was born April 26, 1926
in Breese to Anton and Eugenia (Beckmann) Kohrs; they preceded her
in death.
Also preceded in death by
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles Lawler, Franklin
Kennett, Victor Mueller, Eileen Kennett, Charles and Adele Kennett,
Margaret and Woodrow Lacaze, and John and Virginia Logsdon.
She married Daniel Kennett on
November 12, 1947 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; he
survives in Trenton.
Also surviving are her children,
Marge (Rich) Litteken of Trenton, Colleen (Dan) Richter of Shiloh,
Mary (Tony) Rakers of Trenton, Tony (Sherry) Kennett of Aurora, IN,
Jim (friend Christian Shea) Kennett of Chesterfield, MO, and Angie
(Ken) Rueter of Hoffman; 15 Grandchildren, Lisa (Brent) Brede, Lance
(Connie) Litteken, Scott (fiancee Erin Frierdich) Richter, Tim
(Jill) Richter, Aaron (Megan) Rakers, Renee (Shawn) Pace, Ashley
Rakers, Alicia (friend Matt Haas) Rakers, Melissa (Patrick) Jackson,
Terra (Eric) Meade, Darin (Erica) Kennett, Camilia Kennett, Jase
Kennett, Bryn Rueter, and Hannah Rueter; 11 Great-Grandchildren;
twin sisters, Frances (Dick) Koehler and Mary Louise Lawler all of
Carlyle; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Kennett of Trenton and Eleanor
Mueller of Albers.
Viola was a homemaker and a member
of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers. She enjoyed bingo,
quilting, baking pies, cooking, shopping, and especially Wheel of
Fortune.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial
will be Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM
at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Albers with Fr. Jack Joyce
officiating. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Albers.
Visitation will be Monday, October
3, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from
8:00-9:30 AM at the Moss
Funeral Home in Trenton.
Memorials can be made to the St.
Joseph’s Hospital Lights for Scholarship or to the St. Bernard’s PSR
Program and will be received at the funeral home. |
