Anna M. Kalmer, nee Rakers, 91, of Trenton, died Saturday, March 05, 2011 at Aviston Countryside Manor. 

Mrs. Kalmer was born September 14, 1919 in Breese to Bernard and Gertrude (Hellmann) Rakers; they preceded her in death. 

She married Vincent Kalmer on June 9, 1943 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston; he preceded her in death on January 2, 2002. 

Also preceded in death by brothers, Bernard, Anthony, and Aloysius Rakers; a sister, Sally Haselhorst; sisters-in-law, Clara Rakers, Leona Rakers, Rita Rakers, and Delores Rakers; brothers-in-law, Victor Kalmer, Vincent Langenhorst, and David Heimann. 

Surviving are her children, Duane “Dewey” (Carol) Kalmer of The Villages, FL, Patricia (Rick) Welling of Trenton, and Bradley (fiancée Cheryl Hinterthuer) Kalmer of Trenton; 6 Grandchildren, Shannon Kalmer, Stacie (Mark) Krummel, Michelle (Dave) Huffman, Kristy (Jason) Bergmann, Kelly Kalmer, and Kara Kalmer; 9 Great-Grandchildren; brothers, James (Marilyn) Rakers and Charles Rakers all of Aviston; sisters, Rita Kalmer of Damiansville, Delores Langenhorst of Carlyle, Johanna Heimann of Fairview Heights, and Julie (Walter) Toennies of New Baden; and a brother-in-law, Robert Haselhorst of Breese. 

Anna retired from Highland Supply and was a member of St. Mary’s Church and Altar Sodality. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Vincent Haselhorst officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton. 

Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM and again Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 9:00-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. 

Memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Church and will be received at the funeral home.
