Ronald J. Haar, 69, of Breese, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at his residence. 

Mr. Haar was born December 14, 1942 in Breese to Joseph and Mildred (Burger) Haar; they preceded him in death. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Duncan; a sister-in-law, Diane Haar; a brother-in-law, Raymond Johnson; a niece, Jennifer Haar; a nephew, Justin Haar; and great-nephews, Devon Hollenkamp and Andrew Duncan. 

He is survived by sisters, Josephine (Jack) Hogan of Bella Vista, AR, Darlene Johnson of Beckemeyer, and Sharon (Mike) Peppenhorst of Beckemeyer; brothers, Danny (Lyn) Haar of Germantown and Mike (Linda) Haar of Beckemeyer; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Ron retired as a machinist from the McDonnell-Douglas Corporation and was a veteran of the United States Army. 

He was the Past Commander of the Breese American Legion Post 252 and a member of the Carlyle VFW Post 3523 and the Clinton County Baseball Hall of Fame where he was inducted in 2004. 

Mr. Haar was an avid Central Cougars sports fan and he enjoyed following the Breese Merchants Baseball Team. 

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 8:00 pm at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Deacon Bob Lippert officiating.  A private interment will take place at a later date. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to the Committee to Support Central High School or to the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the funeral home. 

The Breese American Legion will hold services at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
