John C. Evans, 72, of Goose Creek SC and formerly of Breese died Tuesday June 14, 2011 at the Lifecare Center in Charleston. 

He was born July 24, 1938 in London England to Charles and Emily Evans: they preceded him in death. 

He married Mary Voss May 8, 1965 at St. Dominic Church in Breese and she preceded him in death October 30, 2003. 

Also preceded in death by mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alvina and Otto Voss; brothers-in-law Wilbert, Laverne “Fuzzy”, Richard and Ray Voss; and  sisters-in-law, Dorothy Voss and Jane Voss

Surviving are his children Annette (Scott) Balsitis of Goose Creek, SC, John (Theresa) Evans Jr. of Gretna NE, Jason Evans of Omaha NE. 

4 grandchildren Catherine Balsitis, Daniel and George, Claire Evans. 

Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law Robert (Mary Ann) Voss of Bartelso, Jerry (Pat) Voss of Breese, Kathy (Don) Lohman of Highland, Bernice Voss of Breese. 

Mass of Christian burial will be Monday June 20, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating. Interment St. Dominic-St.Augustine Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday June 19, from 5 to 8 PM and Monday June 20 from 8 to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
