Tanya A. Brown 41 of Belleville died Saturday September 3, 2011 in Swansea. 

She was born February 12, 1970 in Springfield, IL.  She was the daughter Lauren “Whitie” and Carol (Ford) Berger; they preceded her in death. 

Also preceded in death by a sister, Deb Berger and a brother, Mike Berger. 

Surviving is a daughter, Lauren Brown of Troy. 

Sisters, Carol Ann (Jim) Adkins of Cornelius, NC and Chris (Dan) Holtmann of Albers. 

Tanya graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Teaching.  She was a volunteer at the National Alliance on Mental Illness Southern Illinois Chapter (NAMI).  She was the President of the Local Chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Southern Illinois (DBSA). 

Funeral services will be Friday September 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Peters Lutheran Church in New Memphis with Rev. Art Eichhorn officiating. 

Visitation will be Friday September 9 from 12:00 PM to time of services at the church. 

Memorials can be made to NAMI and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Trenton who is handling the arrangements.
