Olin A. “Blackie” Breden 80 of Trenton died Thursday September 9, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese 

He was born October 1, 1929 in Osceola, IN to Olin and Katherine (Bixler) Breden; they preceded him in death 

He married Loretta Welch January 21, 1950 in Elkhart, IN and she preceded him in death January 31, 1995 

Also preceded in death by sisters Lillian Esterline, Shirley Rose, Maude Etta Eckert, Ella Mae Horner, Charlotte Helton 

Surviving are his children William “Bill” Breden of Richardson TX, Diana Metzler of Goshen, IN 

5 grandchildren Crystal Ragsdale, Phillip Metzler, Benjamin Metzler, Angel Moore and Rieck Metzler 

8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren 

His special lady friend Rita Ottensmeier of Trenton and her children and grandchildren 

Brothers Charles (Lois) Breden of Euclair, MI, Robert (Barbara) Breden of Rialto CA, Richard (Sandy) Breden of Elkhart, IN 

Sisters Charlene Kildow and Mariam Imus both of Elkhart, IN 

Blackie retired from U.S. Marine Corp after 22 years serving in the communication field, and later retired from maintenance at a trailer factory. 

Member of VFW Post 88 in Elkhart, IN past commander and quarter master. American Legion Post 1239 in Aviston, IL  

Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 12, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Moss Funeral home in Trenton with Fr. Gene Kreher officiating, Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 12 from 4:00 PM to time of Service at the Moss Funeral home in Trenton 

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation and will be received at the funeral home
