Karen A. Blunk, nee Hegger, 54, of Breese, died Friday, November 25, 2011 at her residence. 

Mrs. Blunk was born October 10, 1957 in Breese, IL to Norbert and Dorothy (Timmermann) Hegger; they preceded her in death. 

She married Bob Blunk on May 30, 1981 at St. Theresa’s Church in Marydale; he survives in Breese. 

Also surviving are her daughters, Angie (friend Levi Sanders) Blunk of Keyesport and Jenny Blunk of Breese; a grandson, Dillian Foppe; brothers and sisters, Mary (Larry) Garren of Boulder, Don (Darlene) Hegger of Aviston, Ron (Gert) Hegger of Breese, Kenny (Irene) Hegger of Aviston, Dianne (George) Miller of Belleville, Rick (Janine) Hegger of Carlyle, Betsy (Ed) Eilers of St. Rose, and Carol (Allan) Huelsmann of Aviston; mother-in-law, Viola Blunk of Round Hill, KY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lannie (Vanessa) Blunk of Jetson, KY, Roger Blunk of Round Hill, KY, Barbara (Bob) Daughtry of Morgantown, KY, and Billy (Melanie) Blunk of Smith Grove, KY; and numerous, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Karen was the secretary at Breese Grain Company in Breese and a member of St. Augustine’s Church in Breese.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Dillian. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Vannie Blunk; a brother-in-law, Bob Kruse; and a niece, Hannah Blunk. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine’s Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Monday, November 28, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
